FAQ

How do you beat Promised Consort Radahn?
Exploit phase one with Holy damage (0% negation) and bleed pressure, then swap off Holy for phase two where he negates it 40%. His long combos leave brief punish windows after the cross-slash and double-slash finishers — do not panic-roll his delayed strings.
Where is Promised Consort Radahn?
At the Gate of Divinity atop Enir-Ilim, the final dungeon of Shadow of the Erdtree — reached after burning the Sealing Tree with Messmer's Kindling and clearing the fortress.
Is Promised Consort Radahn the same as Starscourge Radahn?
No — this is Radahn returned through Miquella's vow, fought as SOTE's final boss in the Realm of Shadow. The Caelid festival boss (Starscourge) is a separate base-game fight that must be beaten to reach the DLC.
What level should I be for Promised Consort Radahn?
Level matters less than Scadutree Blessing — the DLC's separate scaling. Players typically arrive at max blessing (~20) with a fully upgraded weapon; character level 150+ is common but the blessing tier is the real gate.

The final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree — and the fight the whole DLC quietly builds toward. Promised Consort Radahn waits at the Gate of Divinity atop Enir-Ilim, returned through Miquella’s vow with two health bars and two very different rules. Do not confuse him with the Caelid festival’s Starscourge: this Radahn is the DLC finale, and he hits like it.

How do I reach the Gate of Divinity?

The path is the DLC’s back half: burn the Sealing Tree using Messmer’s Kindling, which opens Enir-Ilim — the spiraling fortress at the top of the Realm of Shadow. Clear it, climb, and the Gate waits at the peak. Reaching the DLC itself requires beating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg in the base game (see the progression route).

Phase 1 — Promised Consort Radahn

  • 46,134 HP until the transition at ~65%. Twin curved greatswords, gravity magic, and relentlessly long strings — he was post-launch nerfed once and still walls most players.
  • The phase-one trick is Holy damage: 0% negation. While he shrugs 40% of nearly everything else, Holy goes through clean — Blasphemous-adjacent incantations, Sacred affinity, Holy-infused weapons all overperform.
  • Blood Loss procs fastest among statuses (326 threshold) — Rivers of Blood-style bleed pressure still works.
  • Signature tells: the stomp-into-long-combo (6-Slash Basic Long Combo), the spinning gravity rush (Spinning Gravity Bomb), and delayed double-slash finishers that punish panic rolls.

Phase 2 — Radahn, Consort of Miquella

  • 29,987 HP, same poise (120), but his moveset mutates: Miquella’s light rides his back — luminous afterimages, light-wave follow-ups on old strings, and arena-wide AoE explosions.
  • His old combos now end in light pillars or radial beams — the safest windows are after his fully committed slams, and after the big aerial dashes.
  • Bleed still procs (368 threshold in P2), frostbite too — physical + status beats elemental here.
  • Summons: multiplayer is allowed and widely used — this fight has the highest co-op summon rate in the DLC for a reason.

What do I get?

500,000 runes, the Remembrance of a God and a Lord, and the Circlet of Light — and the end of Shadow of the Erdtree’s main story. If you are still assembling your build, our best bleed build is a proven template for this fight’s P2; if a different demigod walls you earlier in the DLC, Messmer is the other mandatory stop.
